Fun Sister Session…
Posted on October 1, 2009
I had the opportunity to photograph two sisters this past weekend. Ashley and Katherine were so much fun to hang out with and snap the shots. Girls – you rock!!!!
Here are a couple of my personal favorite shots. I know that Heidi (the girl’s mom) might not agree with me
— but that is okay…
Well, Katherine is a beautiful young lady. I think that Katherine had a lot of fun during this session (I hope). The great thing was that she followed all my directions – so sweet…

The next shot is my husband’s favorite …

And of course, I have to share Heidi’s favorite shot …

Here are some shots of Ashley. I fell in love with her freckles…She reminded me of myself — I too had a lot of freckles (still have) .
My personal favorite…

My husband’s favorite…

and Heidi’s favorite (well she had two favorites, but I am only going to share one – lol) …

I also want to share a photo of both of them in one shot. I just love Ashley’s big smile in the background and Katherine’s thoughtful composure…

Let me know what you think. I know that I had a blast with these two sisters. Now I am getting mentally ready for my next photo session on Saturday – Engagement at Scottsdale Park (I am so giddy)…
Thanks for stopping by today…I hope to see you soon.
Summer Heat and the Phoenician
Posted on July 14, 2009
Over the last three months I have learned a lot — I mean a lot. I always thought that I would not enjoy working with kids, especially younger ones. But I was so wrong…
Last weekend I had the chance to have a session at the Phoenician. I was trilled that my husband agreed to go with me. I love having him with me when I go for a session – he is so knowable and I appreciate his advice on photo shoots.
As you can expect, it was hot (really hot) last weekend. I have never worked so hard on formatting photos (don’t worry, I won’t go into details –
) …Well, one of the kids was sweet little 2-year-old Tyler. I really bonded with him on the session on June 19th. He even gave me a hug this time…
Let me share some shots with him and his cousins that flew in from California for the holiday weekend…

I just love this face. I told my client that I would like little Tyler as my model
. You have to admit, his face is just too cute — oh and those sweet, big eyes…
Here is a shot all four kids — check out Tyler’s sweet expression in this shot — too cute

The next shot is of Kyrra and Bobby (Tyler’s older brother) …Loving it!!!! Check out Kira’s eyes — just marvelous…

Okay, now I need to find some girls to photograph…Check out this sweet shot. Her eyes are just stunning, don’t you agree?

If by chance, you are reading this post, have girl(s) between the ages of 3 and 8, I would love to hear from you. Please use my contact form, enter “Blog Post” in the ‘where did you find us’ section, and ‘Girl(s) Fall session’ in the message box. I will be waiving the session fee for you (first one to contact me only).
I wanted to share one more photo from last weekend’s session. I am planning to add couples to my portfolio in the Fall. Doesn’t the background almost look like a fake? I promise you, it is not – the shot is also taken at the Phoenician — outside…

Thanks for stopping by today…until next time…
A Special Request
Posted on July 4, 2009
One of my clients had a special request on formatting a photo of her sweet boys. Although I didn’t know how to do it, I thought I give it a try (the concept is really cool – IMHO). I have seen greeting cards of the world famous photographer, Kim Anderson who uses this style.. If you know her name, would you please let me know. I want to give her the credit for this concept.
Here is the finished photo (aged and hand-painted)…

Have a marvelous and safe 4th of July weekend…
Little Boys and A Camera
Posted on June 20, 2009
Yesterday I had the opportunity to take photos of two little boys; one is two and the other six. Two things I learned: one – don’t take sunshine for granted here in Arizona; second – a two-year-old might not want his picture taken
…
I think though that the experience helps me to grow in taken portraits shots. I didn’t give up…I believe that I captured some sweet moments yesterday. Here are some shots of the session…
Tyler is so cute, just hard to capture.

The next shot is my personal favorite of Tyler…

Bobby is really easy to capture. He was willing to pose for me…

The client’s mom was in town, so I took some photos of her and the kids. The following one is my personal favorite of the session…

The next shot is just a sweet moment between mom and child…

And finally, I want to share a photo of the two boys together (which was actually the goal for this session
)…

Thank you for stopping by. Have a marvelous weekend…toddles…
