Little Boys and A Camera

Posted on June 20, 2009

Yesterday I had the opportunity to take photos of two little boys; one is two and the other six. Two things I learned: one – don’t take sunshine for granted here in Arizona; second – a two-year-old might not want his picture taken

I think though that the experience helps me to grow in taken portraits shots. I didn’t give up…I believe that I captured some sweet moments yesterday. Here are some shots of the session…

Tyler is so cute, just hard to capture.

The next shot is my personal favorite of Tyler…

Bobby is really easy to capture. He was willing to pose for me…

The client’s mom was in town, so I took some photos of her and the kids. The following one is my personal favorite of the session…

The next shot is just a sweet moment between mom and child…

And finally, I want to share a photo of the two boys together (which was actually the goal for this session  )…

Alexis ~ Senior

I was blessed to have the opportunity to photograph Alexis. Although Alexis is very shy, we had a great time during her session…

Alexis graduated from McClintock High this spring. She is planning to attend college in the late summer. Thank you Alexis for the fun session. I wish you the best for the future.

I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I have enjoyed taken them.

The next photo is my personal favorite…

Since I had so many shots to choose from, I thought to convert one to an ‘antique aged’…

And here is the last one (from 35 formatted photos) I want to share with you…I love that smile :)

Here I Am…

Okay, it has been taking me a while to get this site up and running, but now “Here I Am”…Iris Nelson Portraits is open for business :)

So far, I had the opportunity for two photo shoots. The first one was a while ago – May 3rd. A friend had asked me to take some photos of her kids (teen/tween). To tell you the truth – I was nervous as anything. Although I have been taking photos for over a year, portraits was a new adventure…

Darcy’s kids are a lot of fun; I actually had a hard time keeping a straight face…Here are some of the shots I took. The first photo is Paul – he had me in stitches the entire time..

Next is Ricky…I really had a hard time getting him to smile…

Marissa is beautiful, and shy…but I did get here to smile :)

Here is the last one — a family shot (have to work on my skills to get three active subjects to be still and smile at the same time  )

Let me know what you think…Hopefully by the middle of the week I have some photos of Alexis’ photo-shoot to share with you. Alexis is gorgeous and out of the 90+ shots I took of her, 85 came out marvelously…

Until than…toodles…
